Oppos, I need to work harder and throw some more money into my Disco so that I can experience an unsanctioned, enthusiast operated Land Rover event. This is a clip from the guys at Lucky 8, tearing it up at Rovers on the Rocks 2015:

No to just find a Defender 110 and get it properly sorted, DD a FoRS, and put the wife in a new MX-5 cup edition. Aka need to make an illogical amount of money this year. Wonder if that link I got from a FP commenter about working from home with Google making $123456OMGWTFBBQ a month can help me out. :)

Anyway enjoy the video, I may make some gifs out of the better or more difficult sections today if I have time.

"unsanctioned, enthusiast operated Land Rover event".

'unsanctioned'.

Who needs to sanction an event? As long as you've the landowners consent and you've a few medically trained people, go for it.

It's never over in a Rover.

That's a good lad mentality right there. I just meant that these really good rover events are not endorsed by the manufacturer. Mostly because the folks who do these events know every ounce of Land Rover executive level-corner cutting bullshit.

Every time I get into a Range Rover Autobiography LWB that stickers for $150,000+, I think of how cool it'd be to take it off road. Then I remember that it'll rarely every see anything other than the parking lot of the lawyers office.

Just BTW, I know I run a 110 and a 109, but the 90's are a bit more fun off-road... Just saying.

Discos are my favorite off road. Partially because they're still very comfortable and partially because you can modify them in really cool ways to make them even better.

Picture the air suspension switches from a '95 LWB Rangie in place of the coin/ash tray in a disco, they're a perfect for with no modification required. Oh, but why do you need air suspension switches in a truck with coils? To operate the winch of course!

Or the lockers :)

Just need to make more money to pay off stuff and throw money at the Disco until she is right as rain. Fixed several issues this last year but that God awful SES light persists. Need to do brakes soon. And I would love a diesel manual swap to a TD5 w/6-speed

I started to say "i hate having to crawl behind the driver and passenger seat or to have to lift them forward so I can put things behind my seat," but then I remembered that there is no lifting front seat for rear passengers because paratrooper jumpseats!!!!
